In one way or another, we spend our lives shaping up stories.
Right now I find myself, and everyone around me migrating from a phase in our lives where we've comfortably made our roots to a completely foreign one; the beginning of the rest of our lives. It was always there waiting for us, really, but no matter how much we tried to brace ourselves for the leap we never really stood a chance.
The odd thing about this shift is the new relationships that are forge. High School felt like the beginning of time, where we all came untainted, ready to be molded. We learnt about one another before we learned about ourselves. We grew and changed together, and we saw each other through the entire journey to the very end.Stepping into college and meeting people halfway through where they're going is weird. Everybody feels half-formed, trying to decide which parts of themselves they want to keep and which parts to leave in the past.
It's hard to imagine yourself as but a chapter in someone else's life. At this point where we have so many different parts of our lives, individual people taking their place in every one of those components, it's hard to keep up. But here we are, meeting each other in the middle and going on from there. Each of us carry our own weight and baggage from things long gone and these untold tales lay hidden, for now. All the stories that are waiting to be told and all the friendships to be made in the process, it's the very essence of everything there is to look forward to in the future.
Some stories are about love, some telling tales of triumph, some dipping in darkness and some made from the stories of other people. Every one is worth telling, every one worth writing about. Everyone has a story-
So tell me your's.
